Tensai didn't work on Ao no Exorcist this time because he's working on the real Darker Than Black 2. Please announce it.

Going to have to save up for a trip out there one of these years. Just have to. Saving for Japan comes first, of course, but I've never seen a convention quite this jam-packed with amazing creators.

Saving money for Japan is much better than blowing off travel money on some US convention for autographs.

I did several major road trip from San Francisco bay area to AX, but I stopped doing it because it's gotten too expensive just to get autographs.

When I was at Fanimecon in San Jose last month, I managed to get autograph from Shigeto Koyama and Yasuhiro Kobayashi of Animator Expo fame. Their waiting line was surprisingly short compared to waiting line for JP voice actress Kanae Ito. I live in San Francisco, so the trip to convention was short and cheap.

For sure. I'm a little less interested in autographs than actually meeting and hopefully talking to some of them. Or being in panels where they speak, at the very least. But in my experience, it's not too hard to have conversations with them if you show up at the right time(and preferably know some Japanese). I was able to have a pretty solid talk with Kenji Horikawa, the CEO of PA Works, just hanging out at their booth in the artist alley at Otakon last year, for example.
