If it's going to be a compilation movie... remove all the "Being X" parts and just have it be about wizard soldiers in an alternate WWI. That would make it worthwhile.

So is this different from the “ultra important” announcement the franchise is slated to reveal later this week? Because if it’s not, I’m very disappointed. If it is, then I guess recap films could give the series even more exposure, at least in Japan, and that’s not a bad thing. Especially if a second season is to be made for it.

Im pretty sure this is NOT a recap movie. What would be the point for the voice actress, director etc to return to if it was one? Dont be stupid now lmao

I've seen some people assert that a recap movie is a sign we are getting a second season, but I'll hold my enthusiasm until such an announcement is actually made.

Even a non-recap movie would be a bit of a disappointment for me because I was really hoping for a second season, but it would be better than nothing (except if it is a recap in which case I'd prefer nothing since at least my hopes wouldn't have been raised by this "ultra important announcement").

The anime started veering of the rails with giving Anton Mary's storyline,along with a few missing scenes dealing with Tanya(her court martial).
Simply put,"recap" movies are know to add and or change scenes from time to time,dontcha know.
Edit: The author created Mary to skewer/parody the Mary Sue trope...in the novels(the WN especially).

Guys a Second Season has already been Confirmed for Spring, just no release date yet, unfortunately! This was NUT's First Anime for one, there's no way they're just going to bail on it now!
