You know, I really wish they would stop calling these "seasons".

Lol just a tiny glimpse at ‘Adam’.

At first I was going to comment on how random they just gave Shiro a significant other, but then I remembered that not everything about someone’s life is broadcast to the world and I like that. It needs to be normalized. I just don’t want this to be like Legend of Korra where they just gave him a boyfriend (or ex boyfriend) last minute just because. I just wonder what’s gonna go on between them when they meet again. That was not a happy moment there.

And poor Shiro just looks so tired now. Poor guy.

Quite happy to get a sequel so fast. But only 2 "seasons" left huh ? That is sad.

I really hope this leads to a Vehicle Voltron team to stay and defend Earth and the local space.

Hard to believe it's been this many seasons and is soon to end. Felt like yesterday they announced the reboot. There has been times I questioned certain storytelling, but overall it really was a nice successor to the original and expanded the lore nicely.

Though I'm curious, given what happened to Earth "not being the same", makes me wonder if we might see the other Voltron force (Armored Fleet Dairugger) being introduced and acts as reinforcements? Hey, anything is possible!

I'm still holding out hope they will incorporate one of the alternate Voltrons from Third Dimension. Stealth Voltron was pretty boring but Dracotron and Voltrex(Dinosaur theme) were so freaking cool.

Great to see that we'll be getting two full seasons to finish the series out this year. I was expecting the series to go with 6 or 7 episodes for the remainder of the series well in to next year

Feels like they’re burning off the episodes to get to the finish ASAP. Makes sense, the merchandise for anything but the combining robot (the thing the show is most reluctant to show, thanks US writers!) flopped, the fan base is legendary for how toxic and insane it is, and there don’t seem to be a ton of kids watching, just yaoi fangirls who got told off in the most hilarious way this season.

You know, I'm super excited for Season 7 but at the same time, I'm also incredibly sad for the show to be ending after only 8 seasons. I'm sorry but I love this show, flaws and all. I really wish things were different and we could stretch this show out further but I get it that this remake of Voltron isn't doing too well in the financial department. Hopefully, the end will be beautiful and memorable and not rushed like I feel it's being pushed towards.

The show was always contracted for 78 episodes. That never changed.

But the rate has. Between the toy line flopping like a wet fish, no real success in terms of additional media (the kids books not only didn’t sell, they ignited a really stupid controversy over what the show runners signed off on), a VR game that was supposed to be the first of a series but did so badly it was a one and done, a fanbase so toxic and notorious one could argue they’re actively chasing away viewers that could have saved the show, and most telling, kids seemingly uninterested in the giant robot show that doesn’t give a lot of giant robot action. This all has led Dreamworks to airing the last batch as quickly as possible to move onto She-Ra and its toxic fandom.

There’s a particularly telling and horrible example with some shippers relating a story about watching the show with some kids so they could force feed them answers about a pairing. The kids did NOT want to watch the show and called it boring.

On the plus side, maybe the license is devalued enough for Banpresto to put it in Super Robot Wars NT or whatever the next one is, and make the Paladins the butt monkeys while fixing the script. They fixed Fafner!

I know that the show was contracted for 78 episodes, but I always hoped that if the Voltron remake did well that they would extend it with more episodes. I guess that didn't happen if everything you say about the additional media flops is true.

And holy. . . . I had no idea that the fanbase was so bad! O_O; I knew that some of the female fans were causing a lot of issues over the yaoi shipping and stuff, but I wasn't aware it was to the point that people consider it toxic. I personally don't care who ends up with who or what their sexual preference is. (Seeing as everyone is going insanely gaga over Shiro's reveal.) I just wanted to enjoy the remake of one of my favorite old animes in peace. Oh well, I just hope the ending is satisfying and that the writers end up don't catering to any of the crazy ideas the female shippers are pushing for.
