I'd love to see early concept art to storyboards to completed scenes! Smile There's been nothing like Gankutsuou visually, before or since.

Unfortunately, I have a feeling that a Blu-ray of this title would be problematic at best, even as an upconvert... Crying or Very sad

This is one of those "everyone loves it" series that....I dunno. When I try to watch it, I just get sleepy. xD

.....the visuals also bother me a little. Too over-stylized, I guess? It's just hard to look at sometimes.

This might be neat to see in story board and not-moving format. Whenever this anime moved, it just made my eyes want to bleed. It was so distracting I wasn't able to enjoy anything about the anime. Other anime since have certainly used this technique, but far more sparingly, which avoided the desire for my eyes to bleed effect. Sometimes, less is more....

Usually I hate Anime with huge amounts of CG, this on the other worked for me, because it was all in service of giving the a show a distinctive style.

Easily one of my top 3 series of all time (anime or otherwise). How I wish I could attend that exhibition...

This is how I feel as well. Just sort of clicked with me with the style and atmosphere. Wish I could go and see it as well.
