Even Harry Potter and crew didn't get statues. Then again, I don't know of an anime that got its own hundred million dollar theme park (Ghibli has a park but it's not what Americans would call supersized.) I guess it all depends on whose your Daddy Warbucks. Stuff like Potter and Star Wars has corporate backing. Fan backing is better. Ask any Brownshirt.
