G4 may not be needed in this day in age but for what it’s worth, maybe Code Monkeys can get a revival now.

This has me SO excited. I'm afraid of how much that could go wrong, but I also think a lot could go right, so I really hope it can make a return! I know it won't ever be the same as it was in the heyday, but I'm still looking forward to it! Of all things that could've came out of this year, this was definitely not on my radar.

Just give me back the reruns of the original Ninja Warrior (né, Sasuke). I miss the fisherman, the gas station attendant, the Olympic trampolinist, etc.

Ninja Warrior and Code Monkeys was the only thing I really watched G4 for, but would love to see a new season of Code Monkeys if the channel comes back.

It's kind of funny seeing people nostalgic for G4 when back in the day I remember everyone trashing it when it replaced TechTV and everyone said it was such a step down.

I'm not. I remember disliking it quite strongly as a teen girl. Maybe there was something good there, but I mostly remember getting The Man Show vibes from the few times I gave it a chance.

I really miss their anime unleashed forum (I think that was it's name. Was so long ago.) Even see some similar user names pop up on this forum from time to time.

The last day of the forum was quite a hoot. As I remember it was a free for all where all the rules like profanity and nudity were thrown out the window.

Their was a point when they where separate entities and G4 was 100% gaming, that’s what people are nostalgic for.

that show was hilarious.

I enjoyed G4 (and tech tv b4 that) for the tech shows late at night. (including a certain nsfw one wired for *** which was about technology in the adult lifestyle)

also watched Serial experiment Lain which still was most mindf__king series i have watched yet. Great but man it was soemthing.

To be sure, the stuff that went away with the switch from TechTV to G4 were sorely missed, but losing G4 afterwards didn't help anything. Attack of the Show was a fun time on occasion. I'll always remember them for introducing me to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3lImmAYeXx4&list=PLE3C71BB6E4EA163D&index=8&t=0s

Everything turned to pot when Comcast cannibalized the already decaying corpse of ZDTV. Laughing

Perhaps you weren't the intended audience as most tech shows of the era were mainly male-oriented. Nowadays, a modern incarnation of the show would be the opposite as more women have entered fields once previously dominated by men.

I had some fond memories of G4 when it aired as well. Maybe with this one coming back in 2021 can bring back some of that charming commentary and gaming comedic whit it had then.

I would love to see Icons make a comeback. I always wanted to see that show tackle the origins of the Pokémon franchise as well as the life and career of Satoru Iwata.

Attack of the Show was just a poor man's The Screen Savers with less technology and nerd humor.

AOTS and X-Play, basically the only nonsyndicated programming that anyone has fondness for, were both leeched from TechTV, the much better channel.
