Thank you for reviewing Technoroid Overmind

I really enjoyed the anime especially the character designs from LAM (takt op. Destiny)

Also wanted to mention that the anime is a prequel to the game.

The base of this anime is unique. Setting everything in a semi distopical place and yet giving the attention to something else as it is a mystery and also a reivindication for androids. All of it while they sing great songs from Elements Garden, one of the greatest composer groups in Japan.
It has a dark turn and is very easy to follow, because they know how much time they have to develop and they use it very well, without rusing anything. It's a great way to gain new followers of the game, setting 10 years later of this events. It is true some of the episodes felt a little empty, but the last 3 episodes are very good.

As you can see my opinion differs a lot from the review, but I couldn't stay quiet while a series this unique is so underrated. Lately, to me, every anime looks like a copy from one another, so having something completely different, even if it's not perfect, is refreshing.

I'm bored of all those simple idol animes, so this one felt really well to see.

It's not like I think that only die-hard male idol anime fans should be able to review male idol anime, but is it too much to ask for ANN to get someone who is actually vaguely familiar with the genre or in the target demographic or SOMETHING for these reviews? This is so half-baked. Acting surprised that an anime season only has 12 episodes to cover material should be itself a reason that you aren't actually qualified to be reviewing it. This is like having someone who only ever watches shojo reviewing the season's big WSJ adaptation and then spending the entire review baffled by why how much time is spent on cool fight scenes instead of character depth.

I am not, actually, a super big fan of the music in these shows. But I thought, compared to others in the genre, this was a surprisingly thoughtful attempt to integrate some of science fiction's explorations about emotion into a genre where those themes are usually front-and-center? I legit cried a few times. It's clearly just the prologue to a larger story that might require going and playing the game to explore fully, but it was a memorable little trip into that world. No, 12 episodes of virtually any show are not going to get you both musical numbers and the plot depth of something two or three or ten times as long, but they made pretty good use of the time available, and this was a really impressive amount of social commentary for an idol show.
