The next logical step for the anime franchise would be to adapt the Supers' manga chapters that continued past the anime.

I've sort of resigned myself to the idea that Goten exists just to be Trunks's friend. Between Gohan getting back into the spotlight somewhat after falling behind Goku, and not doing much that didn't involve Trunks (the most significant stuff he has done was as Gotenks), I guess I've sort of stopped thinking Goten would get to do something himself.
