Death Note #1 is in 10th position? Why? Why would such an old title sell enough that week to make it into the list? Was there a special new release or a box set release or something?

List contents don't change much, do they? Almost the same titles each time.

Looks like the release of L Change the World boosted sales of Death Note #1. Interesting if that is truly the case.

What a strange week. There was a sudden Vampire Knight resurge, and Death Note volume 1 (released like what, three years ago?) made the list.

Seeing the first volume of Death Note on the list is definitely something unexpected. I wonder what brought the surge of sudden renew interest in the first volume.

I am guessing the L novel is what did it if anything or maybe [as] running through their DN episodes till the license expires this week.

Woot for Soul Eater staying up on the list.

On the internet retailer I use (thebookdepository.com), VK vol 8 was selling at a larger than normal discount for a few days at the end of 2009.
Possibly around 30-31 Dec2009.
Price of the book went back to normal right afterwards.

Anyone notice this with other retailers?
Maybe Viz did a quick bargain sale right after Christmas, and that's reflected in the bestseller list.
I know I've had VK vol 8 on my wishlist for ages - waiting for a nice discount before buying.
