Blu-ray? If not then there is no point in this.

I don't think there has been a BD in japan, so there is no point to sentai to release one (except to have a shitty upscale of the DVD)

What? No, there is definitely a point to licensing Rozen Maiden, regardless of being released on Blu-ray. Rozen Maiden has been out of print for a while and its license was thought to have been discontinued by Funimation.

I don't own the show yet, so I welcome this; I'll be buying it as soon as it's released. Given this news, thankfully I never found the time and money to buy one of the price-inflated OOP sets.

Considering JP doesn't have one, you're SOL with your whining.

Holy...THEY GOT OUVERTURE TOO?

Looks like i'll be double-dipping. Cool

Edit: According to the press release, they're releasing Ouverture separately and that they got the Bang Zoom cast back to dub it so that's even more good news.

And you're complaining about price because? Rolling Eyes , I know I'm getting a quality release, with my favorite actors back, on a title that was out of print, oh and Overture, so, lol

Rozen Maiden: Ouvertüre isn't an OVA. It was first shown on Television, it's more a TV special.

I was wondering when this would be license-rescued. I've had interest in wanting to snag Rozen Maiden for a while, but I balked at prices for it being near $100 for a complete series set ever since Geneon went poof years ago.

Wow, that's nice. Last month I tried to get my set of Rozen Maiden complete by buying a Japanese copy of Ouvertüre. It turns out that it is out of print even there. So a subbed re-release is quite special.
