So addicting. Key is to use landmarks and capitals, and find the Pokemon centers. Some of the locations are very creative.

It is a little weird how they did this before April 1st.
It is already April 1st in Japan though, and they already have two pranks. The official Shonen Jump Website got changed to "Jumpteen" with what looks to be models from shueisha's "Seventeen" magazine: http://shonenjump.com/j/index_jack2014.html And the Monogatari Series website got changed to be themed after the character Kaiki, and is now titled Usomonogatari - Kaiki April. Google was releasing a global app, so they released it the moment April 1st started in the earliest timezone and will end it the moment April 1st ends in the latest timezone.
Nope. They actually released the update to Google Maps and I hear that even 4chan attempted to complete the dex. The groups I was with, including Serebii, were way ahead, though, and we've already compiled all the Pokemon and places we could find. I have 141 Pokemon, but my phone disconnected and has been disconnected ever since, so I've been trying to figure out how to get it back online so I can find the last 9 Pokemon. :/ |

This is one of the best April Fools pranks I've ever seen. I love how the Pokémon kept their cries from the games too. So well done!

There are different Pokemon Centres / Labs depending on your location. The US gets the Googleplex, whilst Europe has CERN, Japan has Roppongi, Australia has Sydney, and there's also one on the Galapagos Islands near the Charles Darwin centre.
