Berserk Film to Collaborate with Capcom's Dragon's Dogma

Berserk weapons & armor to appear in high-fantasy action game

The producers of the Berserk Ōgon Jidai-Hen I: Haō no Tamago film and CAPCOM's Dragon's Dogma action-adventure game announced at the Tokyo Game Show on Thursday that they are collaborating together. The weapons and armor from the film will appear in the game; more details will be announced later.

Not coincidentally, many of the Dragon's Dogma developers are huge fans of Kentarō Miura's original Berserk fantasy manga, including the producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi (Biohazard/Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Sengoku Basara franchises) and director Hideaki Itsuno (Devil May Cry). The aim of Dragon's Dogma is to create an open high-fantasy world where players can have realistic adventures.

The Berserk Ōgon Jidai-Hen I: Haō no Tamago film will open in Japan next January, while the Dragon's Dogma game is slated to ship for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles early next year. The film's website is streaming a teaser trailer, while the game's website began streaming its third trailer (below) on Thursday.
