Battle Dodgeball 3 as limited-edition bonus for Great Battle Fullblast

Banpresto will release the Battle Dodgeball 3 PSP game with limited-edition copies of the Great Battle Fullblast PSP game next year. The "Twin Battle Box" edition of the Great Battle Fullblast game will bundle the fourth title that pits characters from the Gundam, Ultraman, and Kamen Rider franchises against each other in dodgeball games. Battle Dodgeball 3 includes 13 teams and 52 total new and returning characters in the latest Compati Hero series game.

The Compati Hero series joins characters from the three well-known live-action and anime franchises in games of various genres including platform, role-playing, strategy, and action. SD Battle Ōzumō: Heisei Hero Basho, the first Compati Hero game, shipped for the Family Computer (Nintendo Entertainment System) in Japan in 1990. Great Battle Fullblast features six classic Gundam, Ultraman, and Kamen Rider heroes in the game series' 20th anniversary action game.

Banpresto released the first Battle Dodgeball game for the Super Famicom (Super Nintendo Entertainment System) in 1991 and the next title in the Compati Hero dodgeball series for the Game Boy in 1992. Battle Dodgeball 2 shipped for the Super Famicom in Japan in 1993, making Battle Dodgeball 3 the first Battle Dodgeball game title in 18 years.

The "Twin Battle Box" edition of the Great Battle Fullblast PSP game will also include the Great Battle Fullblast Theme Song Compilation Album CD and a Great Battle 20th anniversary special booklet. Battle Dodgeball 3 will ship with the limited-edition game version on March 1 of next year, and the entire "Twin Battle Box" package will retail at 11,530 yen (about US$150).
