Nana Mizuki, Kouichi Yamadera Star in 2012 Doraemon Film

The official website for the Doraemon: Nobita to Kiseki no Shima ~Animal Adventure~ (Doraemon: Nobita and the Island of Miracles ~Animal Adventure~) film announced on Friday that Nana Mizuki (top right) and Kouichi Yamadera (bottom right) are two of the four new cast members joining the film. The film will open on March 3. The story takes the robot cat Doraemon, his owner Nobita, and their friends to an island paradise full of animals that would have otherwise gone extinct.
Mizuki will play Koron, the cheerful daughter of the island's tribal chief. Her constant companion is a young dodo bird named Kuraajo. Yamadera will play Shaaman, the narcissistic "evil merchant who came from the future seeking the Golden Heracles."
The other new cast members include the preeminent voice actress Masako Nozawa (top left) as Dakke, a boy who looks just like Nobita, and Atsuko Tanaka (bottom left) as the research biologist Dr. Kerry.
