Namco Bandai Games to release mobile game for iOS, Android devices

Namco Bandai Games opened a Japanese website for a new Dragon Ball Z game for smartphones on Saturday. The Dragon Ball Tap Battle game will allow players to deal increased amounts of damage to their opponent by correctly tapping the screen during action events. The game will feature Dragon Ball characters such as Goku, Vegeta, and Krillin, and will have Bluetooth support, letting players play against each other just by having their phones close to each other.

The 2D action-fighting game will be released in Japan for the iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, and iPhone 5, as well as for Android phones version 2.3 or higher. The official website lists that the game will be released "soon" and will cost 350 yen (US$3.69).
