Bandai Shows Off A Zoetrope Animation From S.H.Figuarts Mario

To drum up excitement for the imminent release of the S.H.Figuarts Super Mario action figure, Bandai of Japan has posted an English-subtitled video showing all the things you can do with the figure's flexing joints and free-flow posability. Namely, make your own old-timey zoetrope animation.
According to the company, this little Mario is the world's first full-action Mario figure, and with its included "?" block, Super Mushroom, and coin, you can recreate all sorts of childhood memories. Those wanting to expand their playtime can buy one of two playsets (¥2,160 each) that include objects like Goombas, blocks, warp pipes, Koopa shells, and others.
The base package retails for ¥2,700 and is shipping this week.
