A Certain Magical Index Gets Expo With Art Displays, Talk Events

The A Certain Magical Index franchise is inspiring the "Toaru Majutsu to Kagaku no Expo" (A Certain Magical and Scientific Expo) event at the Movida shop in Tokyo's Seibu Shibuya department store. The free event will run from November 3-25.

The event will display key art and illustrations from the franchise's anime, novels, and manga, as well as previously released figures and hug pillow covers. Fans will be able to take pictures at a photo spot with the collaboration visual. Attendees will receive one of four postcards with a design that will change every week of the event.

In addition, special talk events will be held on November 3, 10, 18, and 24. Guests will include voice actors Atsushi Abe, Yuka Iguchi, Nobuhiko Okamoto, Rina Hidaka, Rina Satou, and Satomi Arai, plus A Certain Magical Index III opening theme song performer Maon Kurosaki. Expo attendees who spend at least 3,000 yen (about US$27) on the day of a talk event will receive one ticket for each designated purchase for a lottery to choose the talk event attendees.

The A Certain Magical Index III anime premiered in Japan on October 5, and it will have 26 episodes. Crunchyroll is streaming the series as it airs, and Funimation is streaming a simuldub.
