Mushroom Rally Go-Karting Tours U.S. with Final Heat in Las Vegas

A Super Mario themed go-karting company is taking its shells and banana peels on a U.S. tour that ends with finalists battling for victory in Las Vegas. The Mushroom Rally website outlines the victory conditions: a total of 16 races are planned for the U.S. with the first set for March. Racers have a chance to win one of 20 spots in the Las Vegas final by either having the fastest lap in their city, collecting the most "stars", or winning a lottery against all the other contestants.
Stars are won by competing in games at the race site. Separate prizes will be awarded for the individual races and games. Super Mario-themed costumes are provided to racers to choose from and races will primarily be indoors on go-kart tracks, not on the street.
Mushroom Rally is selling tickets for its races in Los Angeles, Denver, Houston, Dallas, Miami, Cincinnati, Columbus, and Indianapolis.
The Mushroom Rally website clarifies that it is not associated with Nintendo or any other brand. A similar go-kart company in Japan, Mari Mobility Development (formerly MariCar), ended up in court with Nintendo on copyright grounds in 2017.
