NetComics, the American print and online subsidiary of South Korea's Ecomix, announced that it will publish Kazumi Tohno's (website) cm0 and Jion Imamoto's (website) Three Times Before the Kiss as its first Japanese manga titles in July. Bessatsu Chorus, one of Shueisha's manga magazines for Japanese women readers, had published cm0 (Centimeter Zero), a romance about a university student and his female professor, from 2002 to 2003. The cm0 manga has not yet been compiled into volumes in Japan. NetComics' cm0 and Dark Horse's Gantz are among the few recent licenses outside of Viz Media that Shueisha originally published.
The Three Times Before the Kiss release will actually be a collection of three stories by Imamoto, an artist also known under the name Kaori Tanagida. The main "Three Times Before the Kiss" story deals with a long-distance college relationship, the "Be My Thing" short story covers high school love, and "Three Rosy Choices" looks at one college student's decision between three women.
NetComics has also acquired 14 other manga titles for release this year. NetComics had previously announced that Yaoi Press titles will be added to its online comic service, starting with Yamila Abraham's Winter Demon and Kosen's Stallion world manga.
