Japanese Anime TV Ranking, July 21–27 (Updated)

Rookies ends; Sazae, Maruko, Conan, Kitarō, Yatterman, 1 Piece take week off

The live-action drama adaptation of Masanori Morita's Rookies baseball manga ended on July 26 at 19:00 with a 114-minute finale that earned a 19.5 rating. (The story will continue with a theatrical film — tentatively titled Rookies: Final — that scheduled for next spring, along with a drama special this fall.) The live-action television version of Yuma Ando and Masashi Asaki's Shibatora manga gained a 13.4 rating with its 21:00 showing on July 22. Sazae-san, Chibi Maruko-chan, Detective Conan, Gegege no Kitarō, Yatterman, and One Piece all take the week off, and allow several other series to enter the charts.
