Japanese Anime TV Ranking, July 28–August 3

The live-action television version (pictured at right) of Yuma Ando and Masashi Asaki's Shibatora police manga earned a 14.0 rating with its 21:00 showing on July 29. The live-action adaptation of Aruko's Yasuko to Kenji shōjo manga gained a 12.9 rating when it aired on August 2 at 21:00.
The first live-action movie based on Shuho Sato's Umizaru coast guard manga edged out Yasuko to Kenji with a 13.1 rating when it also ran on August 2 at 21:00. An Umizaru 3 movie was just announced last week. NTV reran Mamoru Oshii's first Mobile Police Patlabor: The Movie on July 30 at 2:14 a.m. to mark the recent opening of Oshii's The Sky Crawlers film, and the earlier movie's reairing earned a 2.3 rating. NTV also reran Oshii's Ghost in the Shell film on July 28 at 1:59 a.m., when it notched a 1.7 rating.
