GeGeGe no Nyōbō (Spooky Wife), the live-action television drama adaptation of an autobiographical essay book by GeGeGe no Kitarō author Shigeru Mizuki's wife Nunoe Mura, ran on Wednesday, August 18 at 8:00 a.m. and earned a 21.0 rating.
The second live-action television series based on Satoru Hiura's Hotaru no Hikari women's romance manga aired on Wednesday, August 18 at 10:00 p.m. with a 15.3 rating.
The second film in Yukihiko Tsutsumi's live-action trilogy adaptation of Naoki Urasawa's 20th Century Boys manga aired on Friday, August 20 at 9:00 p.m. It garnered at 13.3 rating as the #2 film of the week.
Kochira Katsushika-ku Kamearikouen-mae Hashutsujo The Movie 2: UFO Shūrai! Tornado Daisakusen!!, the second animated film based on Osamu Akimoto's police comedy manga, aired on Thursday, August 19 at 2:00 a.m. with a 2.1 rating.
