Full "Xi AVANT" short streamed at end of March; Sengoku Otome - Momoiro Paradox in April

The official website for Kenji Kamiyama's "Xi AVANT" anime film short began streaming the latest footage from the project. The story of "Xi AVANT" is set in Spain and other locales in the near future, and it is tied to the NTT Docomo mobile phone network's next-generation Xi service.

Kamiyama directed the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Moribito - Guardian of the Spirit and Eden of the East anime, and he noted that the production staff behind these three projects at Production I.G made "Xi AVANT." Satoko Morikawa (Eden of the East, The Cat Returns) created the original character designs, and Atsuko Sasaki (Eden of the East, Ryoko's Case File animation director) adapted them for animation.

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex: Solid State Society will open in stereoscopic 3D theaters in Japan on March 26, and "Xi AVANT" will be added to Solid State Society screenings from April 2 to April 29. The 210-second short will also be streamed in 2D from the Xi service's website starting at the end of March.

The official website for the Sengoku Otome - Momoiro Paradox (Warring-States Era Maidens ~Pink Paradox~) television anime series began streaming the first promotional video for the characters on Tuesday. The video does not contain actual anime footage. The anime will premiere on Japanese television on April 4.

Heiwa's original 2008 pachinko game re-imagines Japan's tumultuous sengoku jidai (Era of Warring States) with all of the warriors as female characters. The first promotional video's subject, the protagonist Hideyoshi, is a modern middle school girl named Hideyoshi (Rina Hidaka) is suddenly transported to a mysterious land where she meets Oda Nobunaga (Megumi Toyoguchi), Akechi Mitsuhide (Eri Kitamura), Data Masamune (Yuka Hirata), Imagawa Yoshimoto (Rei Mochizuki), Tokugawa Ieyasu (Satomi Akesaka), Takeda Shingen (Sachi Kokuryu), Uesugi Kenshin (Mariya Ise), and other sengoku warriors.
