Kimi no Iru Machi Manga's 2nd Anime DVD Promo Streamed Again
posted on by Egan Loo
The publisher Kodansha began streaming a revised promotional video for the original anime DVD (OAD) bundled with the 18th volume of Kouji Seo's Kimi no Iru Machi: A Town Where You Live manga on Tuesday. The original promotional video was posted last Tuesday, but was then "removed as a violation of YouTube's policy on nudity or sexual content." The revised version obscures a brief bath scene, but the original version is still playing on Kodansha's own website.
The 81-second video features the theme song "Tasogare Kōsaten" (Twilight Intersection) by Hello! Project singer Erina Mano, who also voices the character Haruna Koba.
Yasuhiro Yoshiura (Time of Eve) is serving as chief director, while Hiroshi Kobayashi (Yozakura Quartet) is the director at Tatsunoko Productions. Momoko Murakami (Pretty Rhythm Aurora Dream) is writing the script. Ryuusuke Chayama (Time of Eve) is designing the characters, and Akira Takata (Natsume Yūjin-Chō) is the chief animation director. Satoko Kimura (Yozakura Quartet) is in charge of color design.
Seo launched the school romantic comedy in Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2008 after ending his earlier Suzuka manga in the same magazine in 2007. The magazine announced the first anime DVD in August as a collaboration with Shōbara, the city in Hiroshima Prefecture where Seo's birthplace is now located.
The story begins when a girl named Yuzuki Eba (voiced by Megumi Nakajima) suddenly moves from Tokyo into the countryside home of a high school boy named Haruto Kirishima (Yoshimasa Hosoya).
The 17th manga volume with the first original anime DVD shipped on March 16, while the 18th manga volume with the second DVD will ship on June 15.
