Eirtakon in Dublin from Friday to Sunday

The Dublin convention Eirtakon will take place from Friday November 9 to Saturday November 11 at the Helix on Dublin City University campus. Pre-registration has closed, but tickets will be available at the door. Friday events are free; for the weekend, there are day passes (€20) or weekend passes (€30). The event is open to all ages, but children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

The guests include Richard Epcar (right) and his wife Ellyn Stern (left). Epcar, sometimes credited under the name Richard George, voiced Batou in both the film and TV versions of Ghost in the Shell. His other roles include Guld in Macross Plus, Inspector Lunge in Monster and Racer X in Speed Racer X; he also voiced Buck the gorilla in the feature film Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Ellyn Stern's roles include Martha in Mobile Suit Gundam UC, Miyuki in Noein - to your other self and Masaki in Bleach.
