Boku no Imōto wa "Ōsaka Okan" BD to Bundle New Episode

Blu-ray to also include clean ending, drama CD, jacket art by Miwa Ōshima

The official website for the Boku no Imōto wa "Ōsaka Okan" television anime series announced that the Blu-ray Disc release will come bundled with a new episode on April 19. The disc will contain all 12 television episodes plus an episode, “The Next Project!? The Long-Awaited 'Our Big Brother's Tokyo Rules' Episode 1.” Other features include the clean ending sequence, an uncut special drama CD, and jacket cover art by character designer Miwa Ōshima (Baka and Test - Summon the Beasts, Koihime Musō). The Blu-ray Disc will retail for 4,935 yen (about US$55).

The anime adapts Chukei Shuppan's popular Osaka Okan Rule (Osaka Momma Rules) and Osaka Rule books that offer a tongue-in-cheek guide to dealing with people from Osaka, particularly the stereotypical Osaka mothers. In the story of the anime, Kyōsuke (played by Ryōko Shiraishi) has spent about a decade living apart from his little sister Namika (Kana Asumi). Now, Kyōsuke is looking forward to reuniting with his sister as they live together again, but Namika is nothing like he remembers. Yuka Iguchi plays Namika's classmate Kaede.

Sōta Sugahara and Kōtarō Ishidate, the director/designer and writer of the first gdgd Fairies CG anime season, are collaborating on the 12-episode series of television anime shorts which premiered on BS Asahi on December 21. The artist pikomaro is adapting Sugahara's designs for animation at the Flash anime studio Charaction. Jun'ichi Inoue (gdgd Fairies) is handling the music.

Crunchyroll is streaming the series into several countries as it runs in Japan.
