I.G, Masaaki Yuasa's Kick-Heart Anime Trailer Streamed

The official trailer for director Masaaki Yuasa (Kaiba, Mind Game, The Tatami Galaxy) and Production I.G's "Kick-Heart" anime short film began streaming on Tuesday. Yuasa just premiered the film at a masked ball event in Tokyo on Sunday.

The short, which centers on two wrestlers in love, has been selected to compete in the short films category at France's Annecy, the world's largest animation festival, in June.

The Kickstarter fundraiser for the anime short reached its main goal of US$150,000 last October. Richard Epcar is lending his voice to the English dub, while the audition winners for the backer dub were announced in December. Stretch goals increased the short's runtime from 10 minutes to 12 minutes.
