Mikakunin de Shinkōkei Comedy Anime's Premise Explained in Ad

posted on by Egan Loo
January 9 show about girl who suddenly must live with fiancé & future sister-in-law

A commercial for the upcoming anime adaptation of Cherry Arai's Mikakunin de Shinkōkei comedy manga aired in Japan.

Lead character Kobeni Yonomori (voiced by Haruka Terui) explains the premise: "A main heroine who's great at housework, has big boobs, and got her fiancée decided for her is surrounded by a little girl-looking sister-in-law and perverted sister and I have no idea what's going on..."

Her future sister-in-law Mashiro (Yuri Yoshida) cuts in: "It's hard to explain, so I'm going to confirm it. However, it is certain that Mikakunin de Shinkōkei will air on the following channel."

Arai's original four-panel manga revolves around Kobeni Yonomori, who on her 16th birthday suddenly has a young man with little presence named Hakuya Mitsumine and his little sister Mashiro appear in front of her. It turns out that Hakuya is her fiancé, and Mashiro is her future sister-in-law. The three (and Konbeni's big sister Benio voiced by Eriko Matsui) start living together underneath the same roof, and hilarious happenings occur.

Yoshiyuki Fujiwara (GJ Club) is directing the series off of scripts by Fumihiko Shimo (Air, Clannad). Ai Kikuchi (Rainbow - Nisha Rokubō no Shichinin, Iron Man) is serving as character designer and chief animation director. Doga Kobo is animating the series. Junky is producing the theme song "Tomadoi Recipe" by the Mikakuningu! unit made up of voice actresses Terui, Matsui, and Yoshida.

The series will premiere on January 9.
