Chrono Trigger Writer Works on Another Eden Mobile RPG

GREE, one of the largest mobile phone game platforms and social networking services in Japan, unveiled a new smartphone RPG titled Another Eden at Tokyo Game Show 2015 this past weekend. The time travel adventure game is slated to launch in spring 2016.
Director and producer Daisuke Taka, voice actress Mie Sonozaki, and Masato Katō, one of the scenario-writers from Chrono Trigger, appeared at the stage presentation. Katō will write the scenario for the new game, and Chrono Trigger sound director Yasunori Mitsuda will work on the game's opening theme. Shunsuke Tsuchiya and Mariam Abounnaser are composing the in-game music.
The game will have the theme "day and night," and will allow players to travel between three times: past, present, and future. It is a mobile game, but the presenters said the game will eschew social game functions such as login bonuses and friend features in favor of a more traditional RPG.
