Capcom's YouTube channel began streaming an "action" trailer and an "investigation" trailer for its upcoming Resident Evil Revelations port for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Tuesday. The video description revealed that the game is slated for August 31 in Japan.
The game will be available physically and digitally, and both versions will also be available in North America and Europe this fall.
The game originally debuted for Nintendo 3DS in 2012 before receiving a port in 2013 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC. It also inspired a sequel that Capcom released for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC, and later PlayStation Vita in 2015.
Capcom's Resident Evil survival horror video games series has inspired several live-action films, stage plays, and CG-animated films. The latest game in the series, Resident Evil 7, launched on January 24 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It has shipped over 3 million copies worldwide.
