Inazuma Eleven Ares no Tenbin Game Launches in Summer 2018 for PS4, Switch, iOS, Android

Game ties in to new TV anime premiering in spring 2018 with parallel world story

The official website for Level 5's Inazuma Eleven: Ares no Tenbin video game revealed on Saturday that the game will launch for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch consoles, as well as for iOS and Android smartphones. The game will launch in summer 2018. Level 5 CEO Akihiro Hino had revealed in May the company was developing the game for smartphones alongside "high-end game machines."

Level 5 hosted a livestream event on Saturday that revealed some test gameplay for the game.

The game is tied to the new Inazuma Eleven: Ares no Tenbin television anime series that will premiere in spring 2018. In the story, protagonist Asuto Inamori's soccer club is disbanded after the school's soccer field is destroyed. He and friends go to Tokyo to attend Raimon-chuu (Raimon Junior High) to play soccer. The story is set after the first Inazuma Eleven anime and game. However, the show will take place in a parallel world from all other Inazuma Eleven soccer role-playing games (apart from the first), because the story has taken a different course.

Level 5 will screen a "director's cut" version of the first episode at the "Inazuma Eleven Big Revival Festival" that will be held at the Tokyo Big Sight event hall on January 21.
