TOKU to Air The Ultraman Anime Series Starting on January 29

Olympusat, Inc.'s television channel TOKU announced on January 5 that it will air The Ultraman television anime series starting on January 29 at 8:00 p.m.
The 50-episode series aired in 1979-1980, and was the first animated series in the Ultraman franchise. Hisayuki Toriumi and Takeyuki Kanda directed the series at Sunrise (known then as Nippon Sunrise) and Tsuburaya Productions.
Eiichi Shimizu and Tomohiro Shimoguchi's Ultraman manga is inspiring a new anime adaptation in 2019.
TOKU has also recently aired Ultraman Leo, Ultraseven X, Ultraman Nexus, Ultraman Neos, Ultraman 80, Ultraman Max, Neo Ultra Q, Ultra Galaxy Mega Monster, and Ultraman Zero: The Chronicles. The newest Ultraman series, Ultraman Geed, is streaming on Crunchyroll.
