Crowdfunding project on Campfire to launch on July 10

The staff of the Tokyo Chronos mystery adventure VR project revealed on Saturday that they will host a panel event for the project on July 5 at Anime Expo. The staff also plan to exhibit the game's demo at the event.

A crowdfunding campaign for the project will launch on the Japanese crowdfunding site Campfire on July 10 at 10:00 p.m. JST (9:00 a.m. EDT), and will run through August 26. The campaign will work to fund a demo version of the game.

The VR project is slated for a release in early 2019 on Oculus, SteamVR, and PlayStation VR in Japanese, English, and Chinese.

Haruki Kashiwakura (motion director for Expelled from Paradise, 3D animator for Penguindrum, Strike Witches 2, Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic) is directing the VR project at VR content company MyDearest, and illustrator LAM is designing the characters. Novelist Kou Segawa (Konya, Kimi ni Korosareta Toshitemo) is writing the scenario. Kazuma Miki (producer for A Certain Magical Index, Sword Art Online franchises) is producing the work. Sekai Project will publish the work, and Tokyo Otaku Mode Inc. is serving as the production partner.

The "next generation adventure game" centers on eight people who have been friends since they were little. One day, time stops, and they find themselves trapped in Shibuya with no one else around. In this area, the eight friends start disappearing one by one.

The staff originally announced the project on April 11, and revealed the staff at the Machi Asobi event in May.
