ACTORS: Songs Connection TV Anime Reveals Promo Video, Staff, Cast, Fall Premiere

A stage presentation at the AnimeJapan 2019 event on Sunday revealed more information for the television anime based on Exit Tunes' ACTORS CD project. The anime, titled ACTORS: Songs Connection, will premiere this fall. The event also revealed a promotional video, visual, cast, and staff.

Osamu Yamasaki (Hakuoki series, Hakkenden: Eight Dogs of the East both seasons) is directing the anime. Yukio Nagasaki (Love Live! School idol project, Love Live! Sunshine!!, Land of the Lustrous) is the sound director, and Asako Nishida (Love Live! School idol project, Land of the Lustrous) is designing the characters based on Meka's original character designs. Drive is animating the series, and Exit Tunes is producing the music. Hideakira Kimura, Tomotaka Ōsumi, and Hiroaki Tsutsumi are composing the music.

The show stars:

  • Sōichiro Hoshi as Hinata Mitsutsuka
  • Yuuki Ono as Mike Enjōji
  • Kenji Nojima as Mitsuki Akika
  • Ryotaro Okiayu as Satsuma Kadonoōji
  • Tomohiro Tsuboi as Ryō Saotome
  • Noriaki Sugiyama as Keishi Harumoto
  • Takuya Eguchi as Kai Akizuki
  • Subaru Kimura as Chiguma Marume
  • Ryo Horikawa as Kagetora Nagano
  • Sho Hayami as Tsukasa Odawara
  • Ryota Takeuchi sa Washiho Usuki

The anime will also have three original characters:

  • Wataru Urata as Sōsuke Kagura
  • Yūya Hozumi as Uta Outa
  • Gakuto Kajiwara as Saku Otonomiya

The collaborative CD project launched in March 2014, and features male voice actors covering famous Vocaloid songs. The franchise includes a series of albums, a series of situation CDs, DVDs, a light novel, and a mook. The franchise also includes stage events and merchandise.

The story of the franchise centers on the everyday lives of students and teachers at the Private Amaka Academy, a school established by the the large university town group Slive Central.

Exit Tunes is a subsidiary of Pony Canyon Inc.
