Ani-One Asia Licenses Astro Note, Rinkai! Anime

A Condition Called Love, Oblivion Battery anime also licensed for spring 2024

Ani-One Asia announced on Wednesday that it has licensed the Astro Note, Rinkai!, A Condition Called Love, and Oblivion Battery anime for the spring 2024 season.

The original science-fiction comedy anime Astro Note will premiere in Japan on April 5. Ani-One Asia's stream will debut on April 5 at 10:00 p.m. GMT +8. Ani-One Asia describes the anime:

A sweet and bitter love story unfolds in the apartment complex called "Asutoro-so" with breakfast included. Can Takumi Miyasaka capture the heart of the adorable landlady, Mira Gotokuji, with the breakfast he prepares? However, it's a big mistake to think that's the only thing this love story is about. Various eccentric residents enter the picture between the two of them! From extraterrestrial beings arriving from distant places to mysterious spy robots, inexplicable phenomena that would never happen in everyday life occur, and the story leaps into a grand mystery! What is the mystery of the "key" that holds the fate of the Earth, or rather, the universe? What will be the outcome of their love story??

Shinji Takamatsu (Gintama, Grand Blue Dreaming, School Rumble) is serving as chief director with Haruki Kasugamori (Dragon Goes House-Hunting, 2014 Keroro) directing the anime at Telecom Animation Film. Kimiko Ueno (The Royal Tutor, Super Shiro, Delicious in Dungeon) is in charge of series scripts. Eisaku Kubonouchi (Carole & Tuesday, Bullbuster, Nissin Cup Noodle anime ads) is drafting the original character designs, and Maho Aoki is designing those characters for animation. Reiji Kasuga is the art director. Kōhei Munemoto (I'm Quitting Heroing) is composing the music at Lantis. Ai Furihata is also performing the opening theme song "Hohoemi Note" (Smile Note). Maaya Uchida and Sōma Saitō are performing the ending theme song "Kokoro no Kagi" (Key to the Heart).

The television anime for the Rinkai! project will premiere in Japan on April 9. Ani-One Asia's stream will premiere on April 9 at 11:30 p.m. GMT +8. Ani-One Asia describes the anime:
A high-school girl Ito, captivated by women's bicycle racing “Girls Keirin,” enters a training school and has a fateful encounter with Hiratsuka, who becomes both their lifelong rival and close friend. They practice and compete together, to realize their dream, to win the top title of Keirin athlete, “Girls' Fresh Queens”!

Takaaki Ishiyama (Fairy Musketeers, Sakura Wars) is directing the anime at TMS Entertainment's 6th Studio, in collaboration with Maruga Factory. Hideki Shirane (Date A Live, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?) is in charge of the series scripts, and Hiromi Ono (key animator for Inuyasha, Saber Marionette J) is designing the characters.

Rico Sasaki, who plays the role of Tsutsuji Kurume, performs the opening theme song "Windshifter," and the rest of the cast perform the ending theme song "Override!” as Nana and the other characters.

The television anime of Megumi Morino's A Condition Called Love (Hananoi-kun to Koi no Yamai) manga will premiere in Japan on April 4. Ani-One Asia will begin streaming the anime on April 9 at 11:30 p.m. GMT +8. Ani-One Asia describes the anime:
Hotaru Hinase, a first-year high school student, is blessed with a loving family and friends, but she has always been a bit distant from romance. One day, she happens to witness the handsome Hanaoi-kun from the neighboring class being rejected by someone. Seeing Hanaoi-kun standing alone in the park, Hotaru casually offers him her umbrella. That small incident becomes the catalyst for a public confession from Hanaoi-kun, who asks her to be his girlfriend on a later day. What does it mean to "like" someone? What does it mean to "fall in love"? Hinari is bewildered by the sudden confession, while Hanaoi-kun, whose love knows no bounds, is willing to do anything for the girl he likes. This is a love story of a girl who doesn't understand love and a boy whose love is overwhelming, experiencing their first taste of romance.

Tomoe Makino (Aharen-san wa Hakarenai, Kotaro Lives Alone) is directing the anime at East Fish Studio. Hitomi Amamiya (Merc Storia: The Apathetic Boy and the Girl in a Bottle, Chillin' in My 30s after Getting Fired from the Demon King's Army) is supervising and writing the series scripts, and Akiko Satō (Trigun Stampede) is designing the characters. yamazo is composing the music. Sexy Zone will perform the anime's opening theme song "Kimi no Sei" (It's Your Fault). Danish-Japanese artist Mina Okabe's "Every Second" (Japanese version) will be the anime's ending theme song.

The television anime of Eko Mikawa's Oblivion Battery (Bōkyaku Battery) baseball manga will premiere in Japan on April 9. Ani-One Asia's stream will debut on April 9 at 11:00 p.m. GMT +8. Ani-One Asia describes the anime:
Haruka Kiyomine; an unbeatable, strong-armed pitcher, who was well-known in the middle school baseball world. Kei Kaname; a sharp catcher with the nickname “Commander”. Together, they were known as the “Monster Battery”. Schools around Japan with strong baseball teams tried to scout the two, but for some reason, they ended up enrolling to Kotesashi High School - a school completely unknown in the baseball world. It also turns out that Kei had lost his memory, together with all of his knowledge of baseball. Moreover, they were not the only ones enrolling to Kotesashi High School; a few other geniuses who left the baseball world after losing to the “Monster Battery” had also found their way to the school… An unexpected reunion gets them moving again, and that marks the start to their High School Baseball Story!

Eijuu Takashima is in charge of match production. Makoto Nakazono (episode director for Chainsaw Man, Jujutsu Kaisen, SSSS.Gridman) is directing the anime at MAPPA. Michiko Yokote (The Dreaming Boy Is a Realist, Handa-kun) is in charge of the series scripts, Takeshi Iida (animation director for Flip Flappers, Triage X) is the assistant director, and Hitomi Hasegawa (Dance Dance Danseur) is designing the characters. Rock band Macaroni Enpitsu will perform the ending theme song "Wasurena Uta."

The manga inspired an event anime adaptation by MAPPA in October 2020 as part of "Jump Special Anime Festa 2020."
