HOUSTON, March 9, 2004—ADV Films, the #1 producer-distributor of anime in the U.S., today announced that Full Metal Panic! Mission 06 and Neon Genesis Evangelion: Directors' Cut—Resurrection ranked among the top ten Japanese animation DVD titles in Nielsen VideoScan for the month of January 2004 (12/29/03 – 1/31/04). Nielsen VideoScan collects point-of-sale data from retailers across the country.

Full Metal Panic! Mission 06 (SRP $29.98) ranked #5 among all Japanese Animation DVDs for January as tracked by Nielsen VideoScan . This is a DVD-only release, including three complete episodes. Full Metal Panic!, which was directed by Kouichi Chigara (Gate Keepers, Phantom Quest Corps) successfully mixes mecha combat, martial arts, international criminal intrigue, and high-school politics with a final dash of teen romance to make this series an irresistible treat for viewers.

Neon Genesis Evangelion: Directors' Cut—Resurrection ($29.98 SRP) ranked #7 among all Japanese Animation DVDs for January as tracked by Nielsen VideoScan . It includes episodes 21-23 in both director's cut and original broadcast versions. This popular anime is the story of a reluctant young hero, called upon to pilot an immense robotic weapon in battle against alien invaders in the year 2015. As the remnants of the human race cower in subterranean cities, a deadly war is being waged on what is left of the planet. On one side are the mysterious beings known as Angels; on the other, the special agency NERV and mankind's Last Hope, the awe-inspiring Evangelions.
