Yamato USA: Now Shipping - IDEON

Space Runaway Ideon Action Figure

Torrance, CA, November 23rd, 2004 – Yamato USA's very own massive mascot gets the action figure treatment… and we couldn't be prouder! As part of Yamato's Story! Image! Mechanics! line celebrating the giant robots of Japanese animation, Ideon is a faithful 1/600 scale reproduction of the mecha from Yoshiyuki Tomino's (Mobil Suit Gundam) groundbreaking anime, Space Runaway Ideon.

Ranked among the top 25 best animes of all time and the inspiration for Neon Genesis Evangelion, Ideon is the tale of humanity's pursuit of knowledge, leading them to the distant planet Solo. There among the ruins of a long dead alien civilization, they find the three-part, super robot, Ideon. However, they soon come under attack and are forced to flee aboard the legendary giant robot, thus beginning their lives as space runaways… that is until everyone is killed and Ideon, in its own death throws, destroys the entire universe.

Measuring approximately 7.5”, Yamato's Ideon features an impressive 26 points of articulation for astounding posability. Ideon also comes packaged in a truly stylish collector's window box with an extra set of hands; but not his mini black hole canon, for obvious reasons.

Ideon is available through AAA Anime, Diamond Comics, Echo Base, Forbidden Planet, Midtown Comics, Newbury Comics, Puzzle Zoo, Tao Toys, Things From Another World, Wonderland, and Valkyrie Exchange. For more information visit the Yamato USA website at www.YamatoToysUSA.com.
