Rome Elliot, Kenneth Robert Marlo, and Katie Tiedrich to Attend CPAC as Special Guests

HOBOKEN, NEW JERSEY – April 9, 2010. With just a few days left before the convention, Castle Point Anime Convention has just announced that voice actors Rome Elliot and Kenneth Robert Marlo as well as webcomic artist Katie Tiedrich of "Awkward Zombie" will be attending the con as special guests.

Rome Elliot is a stage, screen and television actor as well as an in demand voice actor. He has done the voices of Mitsunori Kugayama of "Genshiken" and "Genshiken 2" and Eiri Yuki of "Gravitation." He has also had other roles in "Comic Party," "Gokudo," and "Kujibiki Unbalance."

Kenneth Robert Marlo has been in anime voice over since receiving his first dub work on the fantasy title "Madara." Since then he has been featured in "Comic Party," "Gravitation," "Kujibiki Unbalance," and "Genshiken." He is also the founder and host of the film and television podcast titled FLIC(K), or Feature Length Idiotic Commentary (with Ken), which is soon to enter its third year of production over at www.FlickPodcast.com and on iTunes. When not in studio, Kenneth's time is spent managing for Disney's New Amsterdam Theatre, currently home to "Mary Poppins".

Katie Tiedrich is the artist of the weekly gaming webcomic "Awkward Zombie" and a student here at Stevens Institute of Technology. Katie will be hosting her own panel at the event, where she will discuss her comic and artwork. When not producing her comic, she studies mechanical engineering and is an avid fan of webcomics and video games in general.

ABOUT CASTLE POINT ANIME CONVENTION: Castle Point Anime Convention is created and organized by the members of the Stevens Anime Club and will be held on April 11, 2010 on the campus of Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey. Castle Point Anime Convention is just minutes away from New York City and is easily accessible by PATH, NJ Transit, ferry, and bus. Castle Point Anime Convention aims to promote anime, manga, and Japanese culture as well as providing a fun experience for attendees.

In the past, comedian Uncle Yo, composer Andy Brick, and musiciansPEELANDER-Z, Nullsleep, and BitShifter have all made an appearance at CPAC. Last year, CPAC welcomed voice actor Bill Rogers and television producer/director Dekker Dreyer as special guests. As well, famous nerdcore hip-hop artist MC Frontalot and 8-Bit artists Bit Shifter and Bubblyfish performed for the attendants at the end of the night. The convention drew a crowd of over 1000 people last year from the New Jersey/New York area.
