Legend of Korra and Hook Actor, Dante Basco to Appear at Pacific Media Expo 2012

LOS ANGELES, CA -- Filipino-American actor Dante Basco will appear at Pacific Media Expo (PMX) for one day only on Sunday, November 11, 2012. Mr. Basco will be at PMX to promote his latest movie Hang Loose. He is also scheduled for a press conference and an autograph session exclusively for PMX attendees.

With a professional career spanning more than two and a half decades, Dante Basco is a Hollywood rarity: a consistently-working Asian American actor with roles that have been both pioneering and popular cult favorites. He was first introduced to worldwide audiences alongside Dustin Hoffman, Julia Roberts and Robin Williams in Steven Spielberg's fairy tale epic Hook, as "Rufio", the leader of the Lost Boys and as "Bat" in Fist of the North Star.

Dante starred in Newline's Take the Lead, opposite Antonio Banderas. His flair for dance helped him lock this role down. Sandwiched in between his big screen roles, Dante further broke ground on the small screen with starring and guest starring roles on hit shows Moesha with Brandy; The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air with Will Smith; Emmy Award-winning Entourage on HBO and HBO's Def Poetry Jam alongside Mos Def. He is also voiced lead roles in the Disney animated series American Dragon: Jake Long as well as Prince Zuko and Lord Iroh in Nickelodeon's phenomenal hit, Avatar: The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra, respectively.

Recently, Basco has begun to add a few off camera credits to his sizable resume as a producer for Kinetic Films, a rising indie production firm based in Honolulu and Los Angeles. He starred and produced two of Kinetic's feature films, Paradise Broken and Hang Loose, the latter with friend and new co-collaborator Kev Jumba.
