Aniplex to Have World Premiere of Oreimo Second Season OVAs at Otakon 20

Baltimore, MD (June 29, 2013) – Otakon is pleased to announce that Aniplex will be having the world premiere of the Oreimo Second Season OVAs (episodes 14 through 16) at Otakon 20. This will be shown Friday afternoon followed by a talk session with the author (Tsukasa Fushimi), director (Hiroyuki Kambe), and editor (Kazuma Miki) of Oreimo. This will be a true World Premiere as Oreimo will not be shown elsewhere in the world, including Japan, until August 17 and will be shown in High Definition.

Tsukasa Fushimi debuted as a writer in 2006 with his light-novel series, Jusanbanme no Alice (The Thirteenth Alice). When his novel Oreimo (Original title: Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai - 1st volume published in 2008) was adapted to other media formats, Fushimi demonstrated his talents by writing the screenplay for both its animated series and games.

Kambe served as the Director for both the first and second seasons of the hit anime series, Oreimo. Some of Kambe's most notable works include: WOLF'S RAIN (episode director), Basilisk (episode director /animation director), Chrono Crusade (assistant director, monster designer, animation director), and VIPER'S CREED (director/character designer).

Miki is the editor for the hit series, Oreimo, and has worked as an editor for numerous popular anime titles such as Sword Art Online, A Certain Magical Index, Accel World and Shakugan no Shana. Also, in the case of a media mix, Miki has also contributed to the production process as a producer.

This will be the first appearance of all three industry guests at a US Convention and it will be to premiere the Oreimo 2 OVAs.

Otakon 2013 will be held August 9-11 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, MD.
