LOS ANGELES, CA —Stu Levy, founder and CEO of TOKYOPOP®, a POP Media Holdings company and global manga leader, will be appearing at several global events this spring.

At the upcoming Anime Japan in Tokyo on March 23rd, Stu will be moderating two panels covering the North American anime market, with both English and Japanese language support. He will be joined by Kun Gao (Crunchyroll), Adam Zehner (Funimation) and Shawne Kleckner (RightStuf Anime) for Foremost Factors in the North American Online Market (北米オンラインマーケット最前線), and Phillip Ward-Schmidt (Anime Central), Kimberly Merani (Otakon) and Yaz Noya-Collins (Lynks International) for Real Marketing Strategy (リアル マーケティング ストラテジー).

Honoring superior works in the categories of documentay, virtual reality (VR), online movies, animation and short films, the awards cover a wide range of genres and themes from around the world.

Stu will next be at the Middle East Film and Comic Con (MEFCC) in Dubai, UAE leading a panel entitled Adapting Comic Books & Manga into Film/TV on April 5th, and on April 6th he will host a workshop titled Creating Manga. Celebrating regional and international geek culture, MEFCC held its first event in 2012 and is a central hub for comic culture in the Middle East.
