Aniplus Asia to Bring Exciting Titles for Simulcast in April
SINGAPORE – 3 April 2018 – ANIPLUS Asia is happy to bring a variety of exciting titles for simulcast this April! Simulcasting this season, will be the continuation of Tokyo Ghoul:re, Hozuki's Coolheadedness Season 2 and PERSONA5 the Animation. Also, from the previous season, Record of Grancrest War and DARLING in the FRANXX will continue in this season as well.
Based on the popular Japanese manga of the same name, Tokyo Ghoul:re follows the story after two years had passed after the CCG's raid on Anteiku. Although the atmosphere in Tokyo has changed drastically due to the increased influence of the CCG, ghouls continue to pose a problem as they have begun taking caution, especially the terrorist organization Aogiri Tree, who acknowledge the CCG's growing threat to their existence. With the creation of a special unit, the Quinx Squad, they may provide the CCG to exterminate the ghouls. This squad is made up of humans who have undergone a surgery in order to use the special abilities of ghouls. Leading the squad is Haise Sasaki, a half-ghoul, half-human, who has been trained by the famed special class investigator, Kishou Arima. However, there's more than what meets the eye to this young man as unknown memories claw at his mind.
Adapted from the popular Japanese manga of the same name, Hozuki's Coolheadedness Season 2 Part 2 depict the daily lives of Hell through Hozuki, a Demon Ogre who is also a remarkable chief deputy to the King of Hell, and other different recurring characters in the form of a dark comedy. As one of the anime voted to be the best of 2014, and most anticipated Spring anime of 2018, Hozuki's Coolheadedness Season 2 Part 2 is vastly popular amongst the fans globally, for both male and female alike. With the hilarious interactions in the form of short encounters within each episode, Hozuki's Coolheadedness Season 2 Part 2 continues from the previous season.
PERSONA5 the Animation is adapted from the popular Japanese role-playing game that has been crowned as “one of the greatest role-playing game of all time”. Set in modern-day Tokyo, PERSONA5 the Animation follows Amamiya Ren, a second-year high school student, who just moved to Tokyo and transferring to Shujin Academy. Following a particular incident, Ren's Persona awakens. Enter the world of PERSONA5 the Animation as we follow the characters into the Metaverse, where everything is for them to steal.
Adapted from the light novel of Ryo Mizuno, the creator of Record of Lodoss War, Record of Grancrest War will continue to take you on an adventure in the land of Atland. Alongside with Theo, a vagrant knight, and Siluca, a lone mage, they made an oath as master and retainer in their first meeting. They aim to reform their land that is riddled with war and chao that is caused by corrupted nobles who used their powers to gain more land and power instead of fighting against the darkness that is plaguing their lands. Record of Grancrest War is sure to bring you on an exciting adventure and widening your view of the world while in the comforts of your couch, highlighting the politics of this alternate universe, the bravery of each character, and how they overcome each obstacle to reach their goal.
An original sci-fi series created by the collaboration between two famed animation studios, A-1 Pictures and Studio Trigger, DARLING in the FRANXX is set in the distant future where the land is wasted and humanity the mobile fort city, Plantation. Following the first half of the series, DARLING in the FRANXX will continue to circle around the children's lives where they know nothing about the outside world or the freedom of the sky. Their only way of life is to fight mysterious giant lifeforms and complete their mission. They pilot giant robots known as Franxx, and piloting it proves their existence.
