Snake River Fandom Con Gears Up for Amazing 2nd Year

Pocatello, ID, August 7, 2018 – Snake River Fandom Con returns this September for its 2nd year with new guests, 175+ hours of programming, and even a name change due to the licensing of the words “Comic Con”.

This year sees the return of our favorite Chocobo fan, Actor Steve "Warky" Nunez, ​(Hulu's Chance, Dungeon Fighter Online, Heroes of Newerth ). ​He's bringing his good friends, Christopher Escalante (Aphmau, Mythica, Blood of Redemption ) and Neil Kaplan (Netflix's Voltron, Transformers, Power Rangers)! Alison Arngrim ​is also returning and bringing her friend and co-star Charlotte Stewart ​from Little House On The Prairie!

New guests, Lisle Wilkerson ​(Tekken, Shenmue II, Lost in Translation) , Scott C. Brown ​(The Gamers 2&3, Journey Quest), and international guests from Canada, Richard Ian Cox ​(My Little Pony: FIM, Inuyasha, Ranma 1/2), and all the way from Tokyo, Japan on her World Tour, Japanese Rock Band, Kazha, ​all making their SRFC debut this year!

Fan Favorite Events are returning from last year, (Costume Contest, VIP Party, Deadtown, Cosplay Prom), however, this year will also introduce new events such as Gaming Tournaments, (The Tekken Tournament will have Lisle Wilkerson play against you as Nina Williams herself!), Steam and Magic Party for kids, complete with Siren Lip Sync with the Mermaids of the Great Salt Lake, ​and a performance by local favorites, the Stasia Acrobats!

With over 175 hours of programming, there is something for everyone at SRFC. Writers can have Christine Taylor-Butler help you with your First Pages. Catrine McGregor ​(Casting/Producer) and April Matson (Kyle XY, NCIS) will work with you on your audition skills! Newton Ewell returns to talk to you about what it takes to draw for Gaming Books. Other Artists, Adrian Ropp ​(Disney Infinity, Chim Chum, Pink Panther) and Erin Leach (Star Trek: TNG, Transformers, Happy Cat) on making your own comic books, or get the 101 and 303 on being a con artist from Brittany Lindstrom and Kelli Reid. ​We also offer “Real Talk Programming” where we address important topics that help our attendees. (Dealing with Depression, Bullying, Growing up Nerdy) As requested, we also have a Martial Arts Self Defense Class. We truly tailor our programming to the things our fan communities desire.

Snake River Fandom Con will be held from September 28th-30th, at the Mountain View Events Center. Registration is still open on the website for attendees, vendors, independent artists and sponsors. Our official Hotel for the convention is, “The La Quinta Inn”, ​and they are taking reservations now!
