Between the title of this work, Beginner Crossdresser and the Possessive Partner, and the author's name, Morino Bambi, you can probably guess that this is a sissy story! Getting an official release of a work in this genre is a rarer event than it probably should be, considering the kink's popularity, which makes this one feel special out of the gate. A semi-standalone installment in Morino Bambi's Beginner Crossdresser series, this work sees Nao finally work up the courage to express his feelings to the playboy he's in a situationship with, which results in lots of hot sex.

The character designs, posing, facial expressions, and overall energy of Beginner Crossdresser and the Possessive Partner are all a cut above most other hentai releases. They somehow both feel dramatic and intimate, making it clear how much they now enjoy every moment of this ecstasy. However, there's a lot of internal and external dialogue in this work, even if the lettering goes above and beyond in matching the tone of the events on the page; all of this text detracts from the actual panel-to-panel events of the story.

I should also note that, as a work that focuses on crossdressing and feminization, Beginner Crossdresser and the Possessive Partner has some reductive gender politics. This is very much a part of the appeal of these kinks, but I found myself giving this work the side-eye every time Nao professed that having sex with a man somehow made him less of one. I understand that these lines are trying to build up the submissive elements of these moments and address the baggage society attaches to masculinity, but I think it'd land better if those ideas were discussed between the characters instead of solely expressed via internal monologues.

Ultimately, though, Morino Bambi's Beginner Crossdresser and the Possessive Partner is a really sweet, spicy story. I'm a sucker for any story that features characters forming a genuine relationship that originates from a shared love of a specific kink, and in this one, we see Nao do a lot of the internal work needed to allow himself to be happy in a relationship built upon a supposedly taboo sexual dynamic. I don't usually find myself rooting for characters in hentai, but Nao is just “babygirl” enough to make me want him to have a happy ending. I wish there were fewer caveats to my recommendation of Beginner Crossdresser, but this one's worth a read to anyone who's down for the kinks made clear on the cover.

Sometimes it's hard to formulate exactly where our sexuality might lie. You can enjoy cross-dressing without necessarily being gay, and you could be interested in cute boys about as much as you're interested in women. This story perfectly captures the insecurity that comes with wondering whether or not somebody likes you for who you are or for how you present yourself, which aren't always distinctly the same thing. The story is about a young cross-dresser who begins to reconcile whether or not he might have feelings for somebody who genuinely finds him cute, which is something that he's always wanted once he started indulging in this passion. Despite how incredibly intense and visceral the sex scenes are, there was an underlying wholesomeness to the incredibly short story

Sometimes you just want to be called cute without thinking about all the different pressures or expectations that come with it. When this young cross-dresser gets called cute, his brain melts, and I like the fact that his partner really does just make it that simple for him. Sometimes it puts those insecurities to rest, and I'm glad I was able to hold onto that, considering how quickly this story wrapped up. There isn't much outside of that initial setup and the foregoing sex scene. In fact, it very much feels like this was a story that just runs through things as quickly as possible. However, the fact that the book was able to tie these two distinctions together at the same time is notable. If you're interested in a good sex scene with some cute cross-dressing thrown in there, then I think this scratches that particular itch quite well.
