It's hard to make doujinshi that focuses on “emotionless sex” entertaining. By their nature, the principal character has to be indifferent to the activities they're partaking in, and if the lead doesn't care about the story they're in, why should the reader? TRY | Hougen's The New Disciplinary Committee President's Tits Are Too Big manages to avoid the pitfalls common in this kind of work by having a lot of fun with this premise, even if it doesn't quite push its ideas far enough.

While the hentai-protagonist-proportioned Ritsuko Kazama is the central character in The New Disciplinary Committee President's Tits Are Too Big, the perspective jumps between the men around her as the story progresses. Coming in at less than 40 pages, a lot of sexual shenanigans take place against a scholastic backdrop. All of the great cliches motivated by this setting are present here, including: Ritsuko wearing only the bow from her school uniform, semi-public bathroom sex that turns into group sex, and used condoms becoming an accessory to Ritsuko's uniform. TRY | Hougen clearly understands what makes this genre of hentai so appealing, and efficiently knocks out all the hits in just a few pages.

The most fun I had with this work comes from a single page where Ritsuko purchases more condoms and, to not generate a bad reputation for her school, dons a widely salacious outfit. Seeing a character as stoic and serious as Ritsuko wear something so out of character for her got an audible laugh out of me, and I appreciate the deeper joke of her ironically drawing more attention to herself in this get-up than if she had just worn her innocuous uniform. This page also gives the character a bit of “booksmart naivety,” and I'll always praise a piece of smut for giving characters a unique personality or character depth.

However, for as much as The New Disciplinary Committee President's Tits Are Too Big knows what works in this genre, it does little to elevate it or make itself feel like more than its inspirations. All of the sex featured in this work is straight, and it'd be great if this work leaned further into its premise and had Ritsuko assisting some of her female classmates as well. Basically, every element of this manga — like the writing, artwork, lettering, and translation — is proficient, but I feel like I've seen every part of this manga done better elsewhere. TRY | Hougen has the fundamentals of this kind of storytelling nearly mastered, and I'm excited to see how they iterate on them in future works.

If I had a nickel for every time I have seen this exact setup in hentai, I'd have enough to quit my day job, because the idea of assigning someone to take care of the sexual needs of a bunch of horny guys under the guise of public safety is very common. It's actually kind of funny, and I think this story knows that because it contrasts the absurdity of the sex scenes with the main girl in charge of this ordeal approaching everything with a sense of rigid professionalism. But even THAT ends up getting contrasted with how much she clearly actually enjoys having this job.

This short story is all about the free use kink, the idea of a bunch of guys just being allowed to use a woman for sexual relief so they can carry on about their day. I appreciate how intense the sex is to communicate the desperation of the boys. The sex scenes are rough without feeling forceful, and everyone is surprisingly very cordial about how these transactions happen. The book definitely favors more group sex/gangbangs then one on one stuff, the latter of which I prefer. But there is variety here despite the limited page count, and the irony is that the final sex scene might be one of the more intense one-on-one sessions I've read so far. Anyone with even a passive interest in free use, giving, or receiving should give this a read because it sums up the kink perfectly in a pretty amusing way.
