As a fanfiction author, I cannot help but feel left out when other authors include things in their stories that one would clearly know about had they either seen all of the anime or read all of the manga. But in America they have just released volume 6, a long ways from the final volume 28. I didn't get the chance to watch every single episode of the anime before it got booted off of Cartoon Network, and I defenitly don't have enough money to rush out and buy all the DVD's. I am collecting the manga as fast as they are translating them, but it seems to be taking forever. Does anyone know when they plan to be finished?

If I remember correctly they are releasing Kenshin once a month so it'll be awhile before it ends.
I too am collecting the manga series. Haven't seen any of the anime yet though.

If I'm correct, that means we have 22 months or just under 2 years of waiting.
I was lucky enough the buy the dvd's but now it almost feels like a bit of a waste, seeing as how the manga gets much better towards the end of Rurouni Kenshin.
I'll take Jinchuu arc over the Meiji arc anyday.

Kenshin's being released monthly starting in October.
Monthly released are the fastest they can translated, so whining about it won't help. Other manga are taking 3 to 8 month per volume, yet fewer people are complaining. I'm sure in Japan when the manga was released, everybody was whining for it to come out faster, but they had to wait either way.
In the mean time, there are tons of other good manga.

Yeah it’s going to be about 22 months till everything’s out. I've read the whole series, seen the whole TV show and watched both OAVs. The Manga’s ending is far superior to the ending of the TV series and the second OAV botches the whole revenge arch. Of course it figures that a thought out storyline is better than a season or two of stuff Fuji TV pulled out of its butt or something the author didn't write.

In japan most series that are serialized weekly come out at a rate of about 1 volume every two months, so RK is definitally a fast one. Consider yourselves lucky that they didn't decide to put it in Shonen Jump.
