Hope it is alright for me to bump this thread up.
I have a question in regards to the Sentai release of Mahoromatic. Does this collection include the Summer Special or will I have to buy the Geneon single? It says it contains 27 episodes yet the first season has 12 and the second season has 14. It doesn't say on any of the retail sites if it does include the special, or not, and I don't want to buy the single if I don't need to. Thanks in advance! |

Both seasons and the summer special OVA are included in this STACKpak collection. |

Does anyone have the recent SAVE release of the Heroic Age Bluray? Does it have a reversible cover (with thte title on the spine of the reversible cover as well?) Thanks very much in advance.

@jmfsilenthill: I picked it up on a whim and, no, the cover is not reversible. The interior features artwork and an episode index. That ugly green stripe is now going to bother me every time I open my video cabinet. What kills me is that I could have purchased the previous full series BD set for essentially the same price, but nooo, I just had to see what a S.A.V.E. BD set looked like. *facepalm*
A couple questions of my own: * I'm assuming the Sora no Woto set will be packaged similarly to Nozomi's Rental Magica Box + Book sets. Has anyone had a look at one of those sets? How do they compare with Nozomi's disc-only art boxes in terms of size, etc? * Disney seems to be in the habit of slapping "BD/DVD Combo!" and "Plays great on PS3!" stickers on its BD slipcovers. they're more or less straight and off to the side on my Nausicaa case, but kind of obnoxiously placed on my new copy of TRON (I know, not anime). Are these easy to cleanly remove, or should I leave well enough alone? |

They're the same size as every recent Nozomi release since each one comes with a book; 4 1/2 thinpacks wide. The booklet is the the .5 thinpack since it's just a tad smaller than the disc cases. Here's a quick snapshot of how it fits in there (the book is on the far right):

What you've got there is the infamous "bally box" that Pioneer used on a lot of their boxsets-my Chobits, El Hazard-The Wanderers and El Hazard-The Alternative World sets all came in this type of enclosure. |

I didn't know they did Chobits like that. My Pioneer NieA_7 box set was like that.

I'm pretty sure you mean Bailey Box.

Black Heaven also came in a Bailey Box. As for Chobits I got the thinpak, which has a double-ply cardboard (not chipboard) box with a plastic slipcover which has all the writing on it and 4 thin cases each with 2 discs (disc 8 is a "character song" CD). I wonder how they decided which shows to do Bailey Boxes on and which to do chipboard artboxes on.

You've probably already taken action, but using one of these numbers makes quick work of those stickers, any sticker for that matter. (For instance, if your girlfriend puts stamps on a bunch of pre-paid envelopes, you can salvage them!) Just sort of shimmy it in around the edges and it'll come off with no damage. I do this when I buy used DVD's or games. Works fine regardless of whether the sticker is on plastic or glossy/waxy paper (or envelopes!). |

I have that Dual! box that was mentioned, one of the very few boxed sets that I own.
Kind of wish somebody would re-use that idea. Cause it really protects the DVDs pretty well, despite being kind of a pain to open. Oh, wait, they did something similar for the seasons of LOST... |
