Apparently there's been info on this floating around the net for a little while now, but Planet Gamecube ( http://www.planetgamecube.com/news.cfm?action=item&id=3990 ) is reporting new info along with a link to the official website that Sonic Team just went live with ( http://www.sonicteam.com/sonicx/index.html ). Apparently everything went official at the Japanese arcade game show AOU. The screen shots look great, but I'm a bit worried about adding kids to the story, it'll be alright as long as it doesn't have that undesired Transformers Armada feeling along with them.

YES! Sonic back on TV! I took a look at the screenshots and they look great. Im so excited that Shadow and Knuckles will be in it too. I cant read the symbols(were they Katakana? couldnt tell, myself) so Im not sure at all about the plot. But this is great news. Everyone sing! DO-DO DO-DO DOO-DOO DO-DO DO-DO!

If I see one guitar in it, I'm screaming. I'm sorry, but Sonic Underground should have stayed underground, although, I won't mind seeing another ABC's Saturday Morning verison of Sonic and the OVA verison not another like the 5 days a week Sonic. Hmmm the odds are even. *L*

Well, I followed the link from ANN, and from the litle information supplied, it stated that the show will be aired every thursday at 6pm on Tokyo TV. From the art I suspect somthing like the GOOD Sonicsw on ABC. I never liked the one that they show on Disney now, too much slapstick. SonicX expeced on US shores come fall.

Yeah, I feel the same way... and the Movie was not so hot either, although it was fun to watch... but the one on ABC, I actually liked... hopefully it is much more like that.

My best friend will be thrilled beyond belief. It's one more addition to his Yuji Naka shrine.
He is SEGA hardcore. I mean, the guy owns a Master System, Saturn, Dreamcast, CD, Genesis, and Game Gear. Plus is shopping for an arcade cabinet of Space Harrier. Spooky! |

Another stinkin' Sonic cartoon? Jeez.
This news does not excite me, because over the years Sonic has mutated from a bunch of simple and fun little video games to this depraved and deeply disturbed sect of fandom the depths of which are only halfway rivaled by the Furries. See: Gonterman. Plus, this new anime seems to be based off of Sonic Adventure 2, which was a pretty lousy game. |
