that sounds kind of ominous. preferably the announcement should have been to say Kentaro Yabuki was finally going to work on that Black Cat sequel/spinoff he mentioned wanting to do at the end of the final volume of that series, but this sounds far more like there's something else going on... |

It's probably due to low rankings, which seems to be the most common reason why any manga series gets cancelled

My guess is that Kentaro Yabuki stopped drawing Mayoi Neko Overrun! is because he just got started on drawing To Love-Ru Darkness.

Oh, no, not at all. That's my standard recommendation for finishing all things that are ended prematurely. Buses are also acceptable. |

This makes a little sense. I want to say that law Ishihara(?) came up with might be the reason but again, TLRD. |

doubtful since Mayoi Neko Overrun! is not like the level of TLRD. That's surprising though. Maybe the manga is waiting for more light novel material to show up since the 10th volume did just get announced after going "afk" for a year. |

The anime was not that bad either. From what the scans that I have read of this series I liked it, but it is sad to see it end so abruptly. |
