I have heard many times that the inuyasha manga continues past the tv series and I looked up how many manga volumes are out right now and there seems to be 41 so while I was looking at the manga as suncoast I picked up vol. 20 and noticed scenes from episode 29. So if the manga goes past the tv series then how does vol. 41 contine past the tv series when the tv series is 167 episodes.

Something called "filler" episodes and InuYasha is full of them.

Thats the first thing I came up with when I was thinking of this but didn't know if it was true. So what volume of the manga extends past the tv series.

Lord, are you in for a surprise. The manga continues from episode 167, but doesn't seem as laden with fillers as the anime did. Only 97 more chapters to go.
